The Donkey Is Sleeping Today

Quote of the Week

“There is a difference between what you can do and what you should do. For instance, you can build a Catholic church next to a playground. Should you?”

– John Oliver “The Daily Show”

  1. Are all priests pedophiles? Is a building intrinsically good or bad or do we judge it via the meaning we attach to it? Thomas Friedman offered his take on “the bigger issue” in today’s “New York Times” when he noted that “The big problem is not those Muslims building mosques in America, it is those Muslims blowing up mosques in the Middle East.” Stephen Cohen, an expert on interfaith relations, asks, “The truly important question is not can the different Muslim sects live with Americans in harmony, but can they live with each other in harmony?” By the looks and sounds of too many angry AMERICANS, I doubt that we can or will achieve the same necessary results. Harmony is the enemy of Hate.
